With a very successful Division 2 league campaign to date, St Fechins went into this evenings match v Hunterstown needing to win to achieve Division 1 status for next season. O'Connells were also in contention but despite their win v N. Fionnbarra our win this evening gave us top position.
The match was played in a downpour but it did not stop St Fechins getting on the scoreboard with a point from Ronan Holcroft after 5 minutes. We continued to score a further 1-6 without reply until Hunterstown scored two points in the closing minutes of the first half.
HT Fechins 1-7 Hunterstown 0-2.
The second half again saw us score 0-5 unanswered until the 25th minute where Hunterstown found their scoring boots with 0-4 in a row. Adam O'Neill got the final score of our 2019 Division 2 league campaign.
